Aprilia is planning to expand their line up in India with the new Tuono 457. The motorcycle has recently been added to their lineup on their website indicating a launch soon.
The bike was showcased at the EICMA 2024 show, a motorcycle that stood apart from any of the other bikes that were presented at the show. Its possible that the bike would be much more cheaper than the RS 457 that is already a part of the market.
Aprilia Tuono Expected Launch
When launched the bike would compete against the likes of Yamaha MT-03 and the KTM Duke 390. Since the bike has already been listed on the website its possible that the launch might just be around the corner.
Aprilia Tuono Design Of The Bike
The Aprilia Tuono 457 looks quite similar to that of the Tuono 660.The bike would get a muscular tank that extend downwards that converts the look of the bike to seem more muscular and aggressive. The front fascia of the bike would be complemented by the same LED DRL signature headlights.
The bike would have USD forks upfront a exposed trellis frame and a mono-shock suspension in the rear.
Aprilia Tuono Features Of The Bike
The bike would have a widely set handlebars with advanced switchgear. Beyond that the bike would also have a TFT digital display equipped with Bluetooth functionality.
The 457 cc parallel Twin cylinder engine that makes 47 BHP and a peak torque figure of around 43.5 NM. The bike would be mated to a 6- speed gearbox. The bike might be offered with a optional slipper clutch, dual channel ABS, TCS and other standard features. The bike would also get 17 inch alloy wheels at front as well at the rear. The front tire would be a 110 section tire while the rear one would be a 150-section tire.
Aprilia Tuono Competitors
The bike would closely compete with the Duke 390. The duke 390 has a single cylinder engine that churns out a peak power output of around 46 PS @8500 rpm. Beyond that the vehicle also has a peak torque figure of around 39nm @6500rpm. The bike has long been the go to choice of the enthusiast riders but with the launch of the new Tuono that might change.
Twin Cylinder Engines Vs Single Cylinder Engines
Often Twin cylinder engines are considered to be more durable and batter balanced. The internal movements of the engine are more balanced in a twin cylinder engine and hence they offer a more balanced ride. And beyond that twin cylinder engines have the capability to deliver power instantly without any lags. But Single Cylinder engines have better mileage than the dual cylinder engines.
