Most new engines that have active DPF regen have such late fuel post- injections.

Active Regeneration For DPF In Diesel Engines
The modern BS6 engines have been adapted in such a manner that they go through constant regeneration even while driving. Regeneration is achieved by High Exhaust temperature for which Late Post Injectors Continuously inject a small amount of fuel after the main cycle of combustion. Hence it can be said that the features that facilitate Regeneration of DPF filters also cause the engine to have Oil Dilution.

While these late injections might not cause issues when the vehicle is new, over time with frequent cycles they might face oil dilution that affects the over all performance. Most of the times these late post fuel injections are timed to be closer to the exhaust valve opening during the expansion stroke.

How To Check DPF Issues
