Bajaj has shared its formidable plans to update the KTM 390 Adventure with new electronic riding assists we have seen on the existing version of the fully equipped version of 390 Adventure. Since the bike is up for a major update, dealers have stopped taking bookings for the existing model and the update to the 390 Adventure X is expected to be in the showrooms in the coming few weeks.
More Electronic Aids On Their Way
The 390 adventure X would soon have all the electronic equipment and rider aids that were previously seen on the top model. This means that the adventure X would now be equipped with cornering ABS and traction control assist. Courtesy of the IMU- as well as 3 Riding modes – Rain, Street, off-road, which would alter the throttle sensitivity and power delivery as well as the ABS and TC Intervention.
The Adventure 390 would now come with Cruise Control which would be a valuable feature that would aid the riders on long rides. This would result in all new gen 390cc KTM 390 models now coming with cruise control as standard.
The Bike would retain its mechanical componentry and that means that the non adjustable long travel suspension, 19/17 inch cast alloy wheels would carry over from the previous model. The 373 cc Liquid cooled single cylinder engine would continue the same way as before and churn out the same amount of performance figures, 46 HP and 39 NM as before.
Expected Price Changes After The Update
The New KTM- 390 Adventure X is currently priced at Rs 2.91lakh and would be available in two colors orange and white. With the new updates it’s possible that the prices might rise by around 10 to 15K which seems fair considering the added hardware and software, The Updated KTM 390 Adventure X would become a more rounded package.
