KTM has launched the all new KTM Enduro-R 390 in India, this would be one of the first dedicated Enduro-R style motorcycle to be launched in India after the Kawasaki KlX230. A possible, perfect choice for riders who seek a bike similar to that of a dual sport that can carry along the daily run-about easily and tackle your weekend adventure on off-road trails with ease. The Bike has been launched at a price of Rs 3,36,500 Ex Showroom Delhi.
The Enduro-R would be able to provide its users with a light weight chassis along with advanced electronic rider aids. Enduro-R steps beyond the normal bikes that are available in the segment with its trellis frame with a bolt on steel sub frame that helps it be nimble to handle on the off road trails. The LC4C single cylinder that powers the bike has been given a revised cylinder head and a new gearbox that is much more suited to the off road riding demeanor of the bike.
Beyond its unparalleled off-roading prowess, the bike would also offer ECU control units, quick shifter and an updated slipper clutch as well. To further ensure an easy ride the bike would also have a 4. 2 inch TFT dashboard with Bluetooth connectivity features.
Engine Specs For The New Enduro R
The KTM 390 Enduro-R would be powered by the familiar 399 cc single -cylinder engine making the same 46hp and 39 Nm of peak torque similar to that of the Duke and the Adventure model. The suspension components such as the main frame and swingarm would be shared with the latest generation 390 adventure. In line with its off-road orientation. The Enduro-R has a smaller 285 mm front disc brake, mated to the same 240mm rear brake disc as seen on the adventure.
Suspension
The main crux of the new Enduro-R Bike would be its suspension setup, upfront the bike has a 43 mm WP Apex open Cartridge fork with 230mm travel. The front suspension is adjustable against compression and rebound in 30 easy clicks. The Rear suspension duties are handled by a WP APEX separate Piston Shock Absorber with 230Mm of travel, ensuring ease for the enthusiasts who would go for the bike it has been given a rebound adjustable suspension that can be adjusted on the fly with a 20 click setting. – The preload adjustments on the suspension can be taken care off with a tool
The Enduro-R would probably find its place in the lineup between the 390 adventure X and the 390 Adventure when it is launched in India.
