New Delhi: Luxury car manufacturer Lamborghini has delivered its 150th unit of the Huracan sports car in India, showcasing its success in the Indian market. This rear mid-engine car is the second best-selling model for the company in terms of sales in the Indian market and globally, following the Urus SUV.

Engine and Price
Lamborghini initially launched the Huracan, the successor to the Gallardo, globally in 2014, and it has received several updates since then. The latest version of this car is the Lamborghini Sterrato, which was launched earlier this year at a price of INR 4.61 crore. The Sterrato is an all-terrain super sports car that features a V10 engine for power and comes with an all-wheel-drive system.

Increasing Sales
In 2012, this Italian supercar brand delivered 92 cars in India, marking a 33% annual growth rate compared to the previous year, which had the lowest sales. The Urus is the most preferred model among Indian customers for the company, while the Huracan also contributes significantly to overall sales.

Huracan Sterrato
The latest version of the Huracan, the Sterrato, is likely to attract more customers in India due to its driving capabilities in various terrains. The company plans to start deliveries of the Sterrato in the third quarter of this year. On the other hand, the Huracan Technica, positioned between the EVO and track-centric STO versions, was launched at a price of INR 4.04 crore. It features a 3.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine that generates 640 hp power. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that supports rear-wheel drive. It has a top speed of 325 km/h and can achieve 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.

Competition
The Lamborghini Huracan competes with the Bentley Continental GT, which offers a choice between a 4.0L V8 and a 6.0L W12 engine, both with a four-wheel-drive system.
