Whether Hamilton would be handed over the Scuderia’s 2022 car the F1-75 or the 2023 chassis for testing is still to be decided. As per the stipulated Rules of F1 only a car that is more than two years older can be used for private testing. The Racers Visit to the Maranello factory is not out of the order as several other drivers such as Sainz have also been spotted visiting the Williams factory.

Project Details Of The Secret Project 677

A number of design details have been revealed about the new project 677. There have been reports of how Ferrari has decided to switch to a pull rod suspension that would allow the car to have a shorter wheelbase along with a better center of gravity.

The Pull Rod suspension is being preferred by the likes of Redbull and Mclaren due to the benefits it provides in increasing the air flow of the car. This would be a merit for the aero designer and give the Aero team more leeway to design the floor of the vehicle accordingly. The Floor of the F1 cars significantly affect the overall downforce of the vehicle.

The switch to this new kind of suspension set up has been directly influenced by Hamilton Himself. The decision must have had some resolute thought behind it as even the exodus of Enrico Cardile the Technical director of the team has not affected the decision. While Cardile has already voiced his opinion about how the pushrod rear suspension did not impact the overall performance of the vehicle, Ferrari seems to be set upon keeping the suspension setup for better tire management.

The project 677 is being managed by Loic Serra, who has been appointed in the role of chassis technical director ahead of his Ferrari arrival. As per previous reports its was also brought forward that the new suspension setup would allow the designers to move the Kinematic Mechanisms closer to the drivers position in the car helping the car’s center of gravity.
