Maruti Dzire 2024: Maruti Suzuki unveiled the highly anticipated new Dzire compact sedan in India on November 11, 2024, with pricing ranging from Rs 6.79 lakh to Rs 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Dzire has earned top honours in safety, receiving a 5-star rating for adult protection and a 4-star rating for child safety from Global NCAP. Maruti Dzire is first in Maruti’s portfolio to achieve a 5-star safety rating. The new Dzire gets a 1.2-litre, z-series, three-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 82 PS of power and 112 Nm of torque.

Maruti Dzire 2024: Will It Dethrone Tata And Mahindra?
New Dzire: Global NCAP awarded the car a stellar 5-star rating for adult safety and 4-star rating for child safety, with an overall score of 70.44/83.
Tata Nexon: Global NCAP awarded the car perfect 5-star ratings for both adult and child safety, with an impressive overall score of 76.74/83.
Mahindra Bolero Neo: The car got the 1-star safety rating for each adult and child occupancy, according to Global NCAP.
Mahindra XUV 3XO: XUV 3XO is not rated by the Global NCAP. However, XUV 300 got a stellar 5-star rating for adult safety and 4-star rating for child safety by Global NCAP.
Conclusion
Maruti Suzuki’s new Dzire achieves impressive safety ratings, signalling a strong commitment to safety. However, it’s too early to draw definitive conclusions about its standing relative to Tata and Mahindra in terms of safety. Though Dzire got an exceptional safety rating but other Maruti cars are in flame for their poor safety rating. On the other hand, most of the Tata cars comes with impressive safety ratings. Several Mahindra models too proudly feature top-notch safety ratings. Notably, no Mahindra car is in direct competition with the Dzire. The Tata Tigor competes with the Maruti Dzire, but its market presence remains relatively small.
