Nissan motor India has showcased a 44.76% year on year increase in total sales for February 2025. The brand has been able to reach 8,567 units that has been driven by strong export demands. The new numbers showcase an upwards trajectory for the company’s products as the company had sold 5,918 units in the same month last year.
While the exports have been able to bring the brands numbers up, while domestic sales still struggle due the rising competition In India. Domestic sales of the brand stood at 2,328 units, declining from that of 2,755 units in February 2024. Meanwhile Nissan has been able to double its Exports to 6,239 units, marking a 97% rise compared to 3,163 units a year ago. Nissan has also reported that they have surpassed the exports of its Magnite past the 50,000 units mark overall.
To ensure that their vehicles are ready for the stricter emission norms, the Magnite Lineup is now E20 compliant across all powertrain options. Nissan;s Br10 engine used in the Magnite and the Hr10 turbocharged petrol engine have been made E 20 compatible.
Nissan’s Export History
Nissan began exporting the left hand drive Magnite in January 2025, the brand has been able to export close to about 2,900 units to Latin America. In February Nissan stepped up its exports further and exported 2,000 more units to the Middle East, North Africa and Asia Pacific regions. Beyond the above numbers close to about 5,100 units were sent to the Latin American markets as well. Hence by the end of February the model’s export had exceeded 10,000 units.
Nissan has shared its plan as to how it would gain a worldwide presence through the export of Magnite. Magnite has become a Key driver of its export volumes. The Increasing demand for the model in the global market has helped the brand gain a prominence worldwide that it has been sadly lacking in the domestic market sales.
