Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the all new Harrier EV; The car would soon be joining the existing line up of EV vehicles from Tata that include the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV and the Nexon EV and the Curvv EV. Tata has been able to establish itself as a stalwart in the segment with the launch of a wide range of electric passenger vehicle launches from the get go. Since the manufacturer now has to compete with new entrants from other brands its now up to unveil its much awaited Harrier EV.
The Harrier EV would be a key product for Tata in the Indian Electric market, besides the Harrier, Tata has also been working in the development of a new Sierra EV as well. Once The Harrier has been launched the Sierra EV would probably be the next launch that the brand would launch.
What To Expect
The Harrier EV has already been showcased at the Baharat Mobility expo and beyond that the car has been spotted testing a few times before launch. Since its an EV vehicle, the front fascia has been redesigned to give it a distinguished appeal than that of the Diesel Harrier. The Harrier EV has been equipped with all new design elements that are EV specific. The front of the car has a new grill and wheels have aero slits that would probably reduce the drag coefficient when the vehicle is mobile.
We expect the cabin to feature familiar layout as that of the conventional Harrier. With enhanced 12.3 inch touchscreen, a 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster a panoramic sunroof, and JBL Audio System. Beyond that its expected that the vehicle would be able to offer Vehicle to Load and Vehicle to Vehicle charging as well. Since Tata is known for its Safety prowess the it would possibly be equipped with 7 air bags, 360 Degree Camera and level 2 ADAS capabilities. Here’s how it would compete with the competitors-

Hours before the launch of the new Tata Harrier EV a image has been leaked online on Team BHP showcases the possible prices of the all new Harrier EV. Although posted at Team BHP by a user named Go baby Go, we are not sure whether these would hold ground or not after the launch. If we go by the image, the Harrier EV would start off at Rs 21,488,28 and go all the way up to Rs 25,645,97( non AWD versions). Although the image has been doing rounds over the internet, its possible that the prices that Tata announces are different than the listed ones. Going by the chronology of the leak it might be right.
