Toyota Raize: Japanese car-manufacturing giant Toyota is all set to unveil a new subcompact SUV in India after registering two new brand names – Raize and Raize Space. This SUV, Toyota Raize, with a length of less than 4 metres is now expected to be on the market. This vehicle will be offered in four different configurations (X, S, D, and Z). It could be available with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
Toyota Raize: Specifications
A 1.0-litre 1KR-VET turbo engine powers the Toyota Raize. This engine produces 98PS at 6,000 rpm and 140Nm of torque between 2,400 and 4,000 rpm. The vehicle also features a D-CVT (Dual Mode Continuously Variable Transmission), a first for a Toyota vehicle.
Let’s talk about mileage. Raize’s front-wheel drive (FWD) variant is said to get 18.6 kmpl, while the all-wheel drive (AWD) variant gets 17.4 kmpl.
Toyota Raize: Expected Price
In Japan, the starting price of this car is JPY 1,679,000 (about Rs 10.9 lakh). At the same time, the premium model costs JPY 2,282,200 (about Rs 14.81 lakh). The automobile is available in seven different colours, three of which are dual-tone.
Toyota Raize: Design
The car’s design is rather aggressive. This SUV sports all-LED headlamps, a stylish grille, and a big air dam. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. Large tail lights have been installed.
Toyota Raize’s interior features an LED digital speedometer and a 7-inch TFT colour LCD display with SmartDeviceLink and Apple CarPlay.
This vehicle measures 3,995mm in length and 1,695mm in breadth. The car’s wheelbase is 2525mm. This compact SUV was created entirely by Daihatsu, a Toyota-owned firm.
Toyota Raize: Safety Features
In terms of safety, this vehicle boasts adaptive cruise control as well as full speed tracking systems. Aside from that, it has a crash-avoiding brake function and E Smart Assist safety features.
Toyota Raize will compete directly with Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos after its launch in India.
