Toyota’s Next Launch Could Be an EV Pickup! Possible Specs And Platform Details Unveiled

As per the recent reports it has become apparent that the EV truck might use platforms that are already in use by the brand- More Details Below-

Toyota has a formidable recognition all over the world as being the go-to choice for users who seek pick up trucks. In a recent news update, it has become apparent that the brand would be working on a new Toyota pick up truck targeted towards the eco-conscious buyers. While Toyota sells a range of pickup trucks all over the world, its Hilux is the only model that is currently on sale in India. Toyota is now teasing an all-electric pickup of its own; this new truck is unrelated to the Hilux that is already on sale in some of the markets.

Toyota Did not share much about the new pickup, but they only showcased a single silhouette at the Toyota’s event in Belgium last night. The Mystery Pick-up was showcased along with two other models that Toyota might be possibly working on.

One of the other models that was showcased was a three-row SUV, the launch of the SUV has been pushed back to 2026. 

New EV Pickup

The Pickup of the new truck had a double cab design that was quite unlike the international variant of the Hilux or Tacoma. As per the recent news it has become apparent that the new car could be a EV version of the Tacoma. The new model could be poised towards highlighting the EPU concept from EPU. As per the reports the new truck might hit the market in 2027.

As per the recent reports it has become apparent that the EV truck might use platforms that are already in use by the brand. Brand’s existing platforms such as the Bz4x and the new C-Hr+ might be adapted for further use in the new PickUp truck. 
Toyota Motor Europe president and chief executive Yoshihiro Nakata said, “these three parts [of the EV strategy] will focus on enhancing the customer’s lifestyle just as powerfully as they enhance our carbon neutrality goals.”
