India’s scooter segment is dominated by 110CC AND 125cc models But witnessing the demand of performance oriented scooters it seems TVS is planning to develop a new performance oriented scooter possibly a 150CC Ntorq. As per reports the new 150cc platform would align with the long term goals of the brand.
With the demand for premium scooters showcasing an upwards trend TVS could be placing the right bets at the right time. Its possible that the new NTorq 150 might have a liquid cooled engine. Its possible that it might be equipped with a liquid cooled engine to further enhance the overall performance quotient of the engine. Such changes would help TVS compete with the likes of Aerox 155 and Xoom 160.
Performance Specs
With the increased performance its possible that Ntorq might be equipped with a single channel ABS as well. TVS would play to its usual strengths of a vast array of features. Its possible that the scooter might be priced around the ballpark figure of Rs 1.50Lakh. Further the new advanced Ntorq might carry the same design elements as that of the older model and continue to use the same 14inch wheels on both ends.
TVS has been a stalwart in the two where domain, beyond the 150CC Ntorq the brand has also been planning to launch an all new Affordable EV scooter and a CNG variant of the Jupiter. Its possible that the EV scooter might be placed below the iCube. Beyond the affordable EV’s TVS is also planning to launch an all new adventure oriented bike the RTX 300 that was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo.
