Changes From July 1
According to Kotak Bank’s updated terms, which came into effect on June 1, 2025, certain types of spending will no longer earn reward points. These include utility bill payments, fuel purchases above ₹4,000 per billing cycle, wallet reloads, education-related payments, and online gaming transactions. This change means cardholders will need to be more mindful of where they spend if they want to continue earning rewards. The policy will apply to both existing along with new and upcoming Kotak Bank credit cards.

The Kotak League Platinum Credit Card offers a range of benefits tailored for regular spenders. According to Kotak Mahindra Bank’s official website, Cardholders earn 8 reward points for every ₹150 spent on general purchases. A 1% fuel surcharge waiver is available, with savings of up to ₹3,500 per year. Additionally, there is a railway surcharge waiver of up to ₹500 annually. As a milestone benefit, customers who spend ₹1.25 lakh within six months can choose between 4 PVR movie tickets or 10,000 reward points. For those opting for the fee-based variant, a welcome bonus of 5,000 reward points- equivalent to ₹500- is also offered.
