Gautam Adani Addresses ‘Rising Northeast Summit’ In Delhi, Pledges Additional Rs 50,000 Crore Across The Northeast

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Rising North East Investors Summit in New Delhi today. The two-day summit aims to highlight the North East Region as a land of opportunity and attract global and domestic investment. 

Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, delivered a keynote address at the Rising Northeast Summit held in Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi today, emphasizing the region’s strategic importance in India’s economic growth and development.

During his address, Gautam Adani said, “Over the past decade, in the hills and valleys of the North-East, a new chapter in India’s growth story is unfolding. A story rooted in diversity, resilience, and untapped potential. Behind this rise is the vision of one leader who recognises no borders, only beginnings. Prime Minister, when you said act east, act fast, act first, you gave the North-East a wake-up call.”

While praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Adani Group chairman said, “65 personal visits, Rs 6.2 lakh crores of investments since 2014, doubling the road network to 16,000 kms, doubling the number of airports to 18. This is not just the policy; it is your hallmark of big thinking, belief systems and convictions in ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’.”

Gautam Adani announced the additional investment of Rs 50,000 crores in Northeast. He said, “Three months ago in Assam, we pledged an investment of Rs 50,000 crore. Today, once again humbled and inspired by your leadership, I announce that Adani Group will invest additional Rs 50,000 crore across the Northeast for the next 10 years.”

Rising Northeast Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Rising North East Investors Summit in New Delhi today. The two-day summit aims to highlight the North East Region as a land of opportunity and attract global and domestic investment. 

At the inauguration of the summit, PM said, “There was a time when the northeast was only called a frontier region. Today, it is becoming the frontrunner of growth. Better infrastructure makes tourism attractive and gives investors more confidence. We started an infrastructure revolution in the Northeast… It is now becoming the land of opportunities. The connectivity in the Northeast is becoming stronger.”
