PAN-Aadhaar Link: If you haven’t linked your PAN with your Aadhaar card yet, then you need to link these two identification numbers before March 31, 2023. If any PAN card holder fails to do so, then his 10-digit unique alphanumeric PAN number will become inoperative.

As per the information, PAN cardholders will have to pay Rs 1000 as a penalty or a late fee.

Steps To link PAN and Aadhaar with SMS
- Type UIDPAN (Space) your 12-digit Aadhaar number (Space) 10-digit PAN Number in text box of your mobile phone
- Send it to 567678 or 56161
- Use your Aadhaar register mobile number
- Once the message delivered, you will receive a confirmation message
Online Method to register Aadhaar and PAN
- Go to eportal.incometax.gov.in or incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.
- First register yourself on the portal. Always remember your PAN or Aadhaar number should be set as user ID.
- Then, Login using user ID, password and DOB
- click on the ‘Quick Links’ option from the homepage
- You have to click of Link Aadhaar option next
- Now, you need to fill your PAN and Aadhaar number and add your name as per your Aadhaar card
- Fill the Captcha in the given box
- you will get a confirmation message
