New Delhi: Prices for Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) increased by 4.2% beginning November 1, 2022. Currently, the national capital’s retail price for jet fuel is Rs 1.2 lakh per kilolitre, according to information on the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) website.
The 4.5% price reduction that was implemented in the previous month is reversed by the increase in jet fuel costs of Rs 4842.37 per kilolitre. The last time the ATF rates were adjusted was on October 1 when gasoline prices decreased by Rs 5,521.17.
The state where jet fuel retail is most expensive, per the information on the IOC website, is Kolkata, where a kilolitre of ATF costs Rs 1,27,023.83. Comparatively speaking, Mumbai has the lowest price for jet fuel, which is fixed at Rs 1,19,266. The cost of jet fuel per kilolitre in Chennai is Rs 1,24,998.48.
The impact of local taxes imposed by the specific state is the cause of the price discrepancy between states. The most recent drop in fuel costs, seen in October, was thought to be the result of an easing in the price of commodities globally. The ATF prices are updated once every two weeks. The following modification will now be revealed on this month’s 16th.
While the price of aviation turbine fuel increased, the cost of commercial LPG cylinders decreased for the seventh consecutive month. The cost of the 19 kilogramme LPG cylinder has decreased since the last price rise in May.
The oil marketing businesses made the decision to lower the cost of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 115.5 per unit. After accounting for the most recent discount, the cost of LPG cylinders has decreased by a total of Rs 610.
