New Delhi: Ahead of Diwali, the Yogi government has announced bonus for its employees. The state government has increased the current rate of dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) from 34% to 38% with effect from July 1, 2022. The UP government has announced a bonus of Rs 6,908 to each employee for the financial year 2021-22.

UP CM Office took to the Twitter to make to the announcement, “Keeping in mind the wider interest of state employees and pensioners/family pensioners, CM Yogi has increased the current rate of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief by 34 percent with effect from 01.07.2022. It has been decided to do 38 per cent.”

In a separate tweet, the UP government announced a bonus to every employee for the financial year 2021-22. “Keeping in mind the larger interest of the state employees, CM Yogi has decided to provide ₹6,908 bonus to each employee for the financial year 2021-22,” it said.

What will be Government employees salary be after this DA increment?

Let us decode us for you. For example, if the basic salary of an Assistant Secretary in the Secretariat is Rs 67700, then the person’s DA amount will be Rs 2708. If the basic salary of a class IV employee is Rs 26600, then on adding 4 percent DA, the salary will increase by Rs 1064. The benefit of increase in DA/DR are effective from July 2022.
