Authorities have urged residents in these areas to make necessary arrangements in advance, warning that the outage may cause temporary inconvenience.

Power Outrage Happened 3 Weeks Before
Residents of Bellandur and Whitefield in Bengaluru faced an unprecedented power outage 3 weeks before. The power outage lasted over 36 hours, which invited agitation that time. Many affected people took to social media platforms, including Reddit and Twitter, to express their frustration over the prolonged electricity disruption and the lack of timely updates from Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM).
The power outage started late at night and has lasted for over a day and a half. Even though many people have filed complaints and posted about it on social media, authorities have not provided clear information on when they will restore the electricity. An update on the BESCOM app mentioned that the issue is due to a problem with the feeder at the Devarabeesanahalli RMZ substation, but where not able to say when the repair will be complete. Due to this residents faced difficulties.
Adding to the frustration, some residents suspected that the fault might have been caused by other civic agencies also. They said that the agencies digging often created power cut in these areas. Some even attributed the cause to BBMP workers, who, while digging for a stormwater drain, broke a sewage pipe without any prior notification.
