Bengaluru Traffic Alert! Curbs In Place Ahead Of RCB Vs KKR Match At Chinnaswamy Stadium – Check Parking Restrictions, Entry And Exit Gates

Bengaluru: Ahead of the scheduled IPL match between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Chinnaswamy Stadium today, the Bangalore traffic Police issued a comprehensive traffic advisory. The advisory, effective from 3 pm to 11 pm on May 17, outlines parking restrictions as well as designated parking areas for commuters and spectators. Additionally, people are advised to use entry-exit points at Chinnaswamy Stadium to avoid overcrowding and ensure smooth traffic flow.

Parking Restrictions And No Parking Zones – Details

  1. Queens Road (Balekundri Circle to Queens Circle, both sides)
  2. M.G.Road (Anil Kumble Circle to Queens Circle, both sides)
  3. Link road (M.G. Road to Cubbon Road)
  4. Rajbhavan Road (T. Chowdaiah Road & Race Course Road)
  5. Central Street Post (Both Sides)
  6. Cubbon Road (C.T.O. Circle to Dickenson Road, both sides)
  7. St. Marks Road (From Cash Pharmacy to Anil Kumble Circle)
  8. Museum Road (From MG Road to St. Marks Road & Ashirvadam Circle)
  9. Kasturba Road (From Queens Circle to Hudson Circle)
  10. Lavelle Road (From Queens Circle to Vittal Mallya Road)
  11. Vittal Mallya Road (From Siddalingaiah Circle to Bishop Cotton Girls School)

Designated Parking Areas

Spectators are advised to use the limited parking facilities available at St. Joseph’s Indian School Ground, UB City Parking Lot, 1st Floor of BMTC Depot at Shivajinagar Bus Stand. For KSCA Members, limited parking is available at St. Joseph’s European School on Museum Road. On the other hand, Police personnel on duty can use the Old KGID Building parking facility during the event.

Entry And Exit Gates 

  • Entry to Gates 1–6 via Cubbon Road
  • Entry to Gates 7–11 via Link Road (Anil Kumble Circle and BRV Circle)
  • Entry to Gates 12–21 via Queens Road

NOTE: Except BMTC Buses, all other vehicles are banned entry on Cubbon Road (from Kamaraja Road to Dickenson Road). Meanwhile, no parking is allowed inside Cubbon Park, Kings Road, opposite the Press Club, and on Bal Bhavan Road up to Fountain Junction.
