Crick-Eat 2022: Cricket fever takes over hotel management students, dishes made in the name of players

Crick-Eat 2022: The craze of the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia is being seen throughout the country. It can also be gauged from the fact that an event on the theme ‘Crick-Eat’ was organized in Jaipur on Thursday, in which the students of Poornima Institute of Hotel Management (PIHM) were seen in the colors of cricket. On this occasion, students made dishes in the name of legendary players. The Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan University (RU) Prof. Rajeev Jain attended as the chief guest.

The Vice Chancellor appreciated the effort of the institute to introduce the students to the hotel industry. Sunil Bhargava, Director, PIHM informed that the event was organized with an aim to develop entrepreneurship and managerial skills among the students. In this, many eminent personalities of the hotel industry of the city enjoyed the special dishes prepared by the final year students.

For this event, the guest restaurant here was decorated on the cricket theme. The dishes were designed according to the bat, ball, stump, ground and players of cricket and were also given unique names. Under this, the starter included Bhajji’s style Jalapenos, Cheese Ball, Gilchrist Fish Sticks, Duminy Chicken Peri-Peri.

The guests relished the Kohli Broccoli Almond Soup (with Garlic Grissini). Appetizers included Jadeja Chinese Bhel, Mahi Kimchi, Siddhu Fattoush and Aaloo Kapil Kakdi Chat, while the main course featured a great combination of Jayasurya Paneer Khurchan, Aaloo Pandya, Murlidharan Korma, Rawalpindi Chana and Hattrick Dal Sultani.

Apart from these, Mutton Tendulkar, Watson Barbecue Chicken and Bumrah Burani Raita were also specially decorated. The Desert Series, named the Last Man, included Morne Mousse, Paraline Boundary, No Ball Panna Cotta and Bouncer Beetroot Halwa. The guests also gave some tips for success in Hotel Management to the students.
