The air quality in the national capital has reportedly shown significant improvement, offering respite for its residents. The Central Pollution Control Board recorded an air quality index in the ‘moderate’ category at 130 at 6 a.m. on Thursday. The improvement in air quality is attributed to favorable meteorological conditions, including a higher mixing height, increased ventilation coefficient, and a greater degree of control over pollutant dispersion, as stated by the CAQM.

There has been a slight rise in minimum temperature and fall in maximum temperature up to 03°C over Delhi/NCR during the past 24 hours. The Maximum and Minimum temperatures over Delhi are in the range of 25 to 27°C and 10 to 12°C respectively. The minimum temperature was above normal upto 02°C and maximum temperature was above normal up to 03°C over most places. Mainly clear sky conditions with predominant surface wind from the northwest direction with wind speed reaching 18 to 20 kmph prevailed during the past 24 hours. Mainly clear sky conditions with wind speed less than 16 kmph northwest direction prevailed over the region in the forenoon today.
