Kalindi Kunj Road Update: The highly-anticipated upgrade of the Kalindi Kunj road which connects Noida, Greater Noida, and Delhi to Faridabad has hit a roadblock. According to reports, the delay was caused due to an incomplete Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UP Irrigation Department. The Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA) must sign the agreement before proceeding with the tender process for construction.
The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the four-lane highway has already been approved. The Irrigation Department has been reportedly allocated Rs 1 crore by the FMDA for its preparation. The project, which costs Rs 2.78 billion, aims to ease congestion and provide relief to commuters, thus enhancing regional connectivity.

Former Chief Minister Manohar Lal announced the project expansion in September 2023. After expansion, the 20-kilometre four-lane stretch to Palla Bridge will eventually lead to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway at Kalindi Kunj, as per reports.
The project also includes the construction of six bridges at key junctions – IMT, Chandavali, Sector-8 Baroli, BPTP, Khedi Cut, and Palla.
The road is seen as a crucial infrastructure project as more than 200,000 drivers rely on it to travel to Greater Noida and South Delhi for work purposes. Additionally, it serves as an important route for transportation.
Local leaders, including Yogesh Mann, President of Puri Pranayam Society have requested the concerned authorities to expedite the MoU signing process for the construction work to begin.
