There is a great news for the commuters of Greater Noida, as they are set to receive a big gift in the New Year. In the first week of January, the railway overbridge near Ajaibpur Railway Station will be opened to the public. As per reports, the construction work has been completed, and the final preparations for its opening are underway.
How Will It Benefit Commuters?
Once operational, this overbridge will provide Greater Noida with direct connectivity to the GT Road and the toll plaza. Also, the single-lane road leading from the railway overbridge to GT Road has been upgraded to a double lane. This will enhance connectivity in the region and ease travel experience of the commuters.
The opening of this railway overbridge will benefit residents of the Integrated Industrial Township and sectors, including Omicron-1 and Omicron-2. Commuters from these sectors will be able to travel easily to Secunderabad, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, and Hathras via this route. Residents of more than ten sectors will be benefitted with the opening of bridge.
This overbridge will also bridge gap between Greater Noida and upcoming New Noida.
Direct Connectivity With Integrated Industrial Township
Reportedly, an Integrated Industrial Township has been established near Ajaibpur in Greater Noida. This smart township boasts of investment of around Rs 6000 crore from around 18 major companies, including Haier Electronics, Forme Mobile, Satkriti Infotainment, Chenfeng, Jworld Electronics, and Guru Amardas. This township spans over 750 acres and offers top class amenities including 24-hour electricity, work-to-cycle program, and LED lighting.
Despite, having such facilities, there was no direct road connectivity to this township, until now. This forced the Greater Noida Authority and the Railway Department to initiate the construction of the railway overbridge at Ajaibpur Railway Station.
Now after years, this railway overbridge is ready to serve the commuters of Greater Noida.
Double Lane Road To GT Road
In another good news, the single road leading from Ajaibpur Railway Station to GT Road has been converted into a double lane. Vehicular movement has already started on this road, and a large number of Greater Noida residents are now using it to reach GT Road. Previously, one had to pay toll taxes at the Eastern Peripheral Expressway from Sirsa to reach GT Road, or take a longer route via Borki and Dadri. This took long time and covered a greater distance. Now, reaching GT Road from has Ajaibpur become easier, and the travel distance has been significantly reduced.
