In an unfortunate incident, a school bus lost control and collided with a tree in Greater Noida, injuring 4 to 5 children. The injured children were inside the bus at the time of the accident. The incident occurred in the Bisrakh police station area of Greater Noida West. The police acted promptly and rescued the children from the damaged bus. They were later taken to the hospital, where they were admitted for treatment. A heavy police presence was maintained at the scene. There were 15 students in the bus at the time of the accident, and they were heading to the school.
Students Were Safely Rescued
The collision was so intense that part of the bus was destroyed. As soon as the accident occurred, personnel from the Bisrakh police station and the traffic police rushed to the spot and initiated the rescue operation. The students were safely evacuated from the partially damaged bus.
A Major Tragedy Averted
Apart from the police station, people present there also helped in the rescue operation. As the incident happened before the rush hour related to school and office, a major tragedy is believed to have been averted. Following the incident, traffic congestion built up in the area, with vehicles facing diversions.
Injuries Were Not Severe
The police stated that no student was seriously injured in the accident. However, a few children sustained minor scratches. As a precautionary measure, all the children were sent to school in another bus. Parents have also been informed about the incident.
Reason For The Accident
The police stated that the bus is currently being removed from the road with the help of a crane to restore normal traffic flow. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accident occurred due to a loss of balance caused by high speed. The bus driver is being questioned.
