A week ago, the ACB team arrested Reader Hansraj and Ahlmad Sumit from the Sector-12 court premises on charges of taking bribes. Both of them were brought to the CJM court at around 2.30 pm on Tuesday afternoon. Meanwhile, there was a tussle between the lawyers and the ACB team. The argument turned into a fight. Both sides have accused each other of interfering in each other’s work and of retaliation. Lawyers say that when he tried to stand in court by putting his Vakalatnama in favour of the court employees, the officers of the Corruption Bureau misbehaved by tearing the Vakalatnama and threatening to kill him.

Advocate Rajesh Baisla, Head of the Bar Association, and Inspector Rajkumar of the Anti-Corruption Bureau have lodged a cross-firing FIR against each other in the Central Police Station. The Bar Pradhan alleges that the ACB officials snatched the Vakalatnama, tore it, and abused him. Threatened to see the lawyers while leaving. On the other hand, Inspector Rajkumar of ACB alleges that 30–40 lawyers, including Bar Pradhan, unitedly assaulted their colleagues, obstructing official work, and tried to get accused Hansraj and Sumit released from police custody.
