Kolkata: A major accident took place as two ships collided in the Hooghly river of Kolkata on Saturday. The collision was so severe that a ship got submerged in the water. A rescue operation is underway after the accident.
As per a report, The people of the sunken ship have been pulled out of the water. At present, there is no information on any loss of life.

According to the information, the incident took place at Paila Ghedi in Hooghly river. A Bangladeshi ship collided with another ship. As per locals, this accident happened due to fog in the river Ganges. After the massive accident, there was a hue and cry on the spot. People shouted for help.
Local people helped
The people around reacted quickly and pulled the drowning people out of the water. The matter was informed to the police and administration. The rescue is going on.
