Mumbai Traffic Advisory: Devendra Fadnavis’ Swearing-In Ceremony On December 5 – Check Key Traffic Restrictions & Alternative Routes

Mumbai: Devendra Fadnavis is set to take oath as the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Thursday, December 5. The ceremony is scheduled to be held in the presence of top political leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and others.

  • Location: Azad Maidan, Mumbai

Traffic Restrictions In Mumbai

In view of the grand event, the Mumbai Traffic Police have issued several restrictions to ensure the smooth movement of vehicles. The following traffic diversions and restrictions will be in force from noon till the end of the ceremony tomorrow.

Traffic Restrictions Details

  • Hazarimal Somani Marg: No entry from OCS Junction to CSMT Junction.

Alternative routes: OCS Junction, Hutatma Chowk, Kalaghoda, and K Dubhash Marg.

Princess Street Bridge (South Bound): Traffic is prohibited from NS Road (Marine Drive) and Coastal Road towards Shyamaldas Gandhi Junction.

Alternate route: NS Road

  • Mahapalika Marg: No entry on both sides from CSMT Junction to Metro Junction.

Alternative routes: LT Marg, Chakala Junction, DN Road, and CSMT Junction.

Mahatma Gandhi Marg: No entry on both sides from OCS Junction to Metro Junction.

Alternative routes: LT Marg or MK Road

  • Rambhau Salgaonkar Road: This road allows two-way traffic between Indu Clinic Junction and Volga Chowk from 12 to 8 pm.

Devendra Fadnavis was unanimously elected as the leader of the Maharashtra BJP Legislative Party, marking his return as the Chief Minister. This decision was taken during a crucial meeting held at the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan, where party members expressed their support for Fadnavis, recognizing his leadership capabilities and experience.
