Thane Traffic Alert! Key Roads Closed On April 14 For Ambedkar Jayanti Celebrations – Check For Alternative Routes

According to the advisory, Entry will be restricted for all the vehicles coming from Mumbai, Thane, or Mankoli and heading towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk via Dhamankar Naka.

Thane Traffic Advisory: Ahead of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14, Thane traffic police have issued a traffic advisory to ensure smooth vehicular movement in the city. The advisory, shared on April 5 on Thane City Police’s X handle, outlines several restrictions to ease congestion. Keeping in view the public safety and heavy traffic jams, the Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Shirsat announced that the festivities would be held within the Bhiwandi Traffic Sub-Division.

Thane Ambedkar Jayanti Traffic Advisory

According to the advisory, Entry will be restricted for all the vehicles coming from Mumbai, Thane, or Mankoli and heading towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk via Dhamankar Naka. Commuters are, therefore, advised not to take Old Thane Agra Road to enter Dhamankar Naka. Alternative routes suggested to reach your destination are Kalyan Naka and Vanjarpatti. The Thane City police issued the advisory through an X post, which read, “वाहतूक नियंत्रण अधिसूचना – भिवंडी (Traffic Control Notification – Bhiwandi)”

Blockage At Late Anand Dighe Chowk

All the vehicles traveling from Ranjanoli Chowk to Bhiwandi are restricted from Late Anand Dighe Chowk. Commuters may make it to their respective destinations through alternative routes – Late Anand Dighe Chowk and Vanjarpatti.

Closure Near Kesharbagh Naka

Bhiwandi commuters are expected to face traffic woes in some key areas in the city. The advisory states that all vehicles are prohibited entry from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk to Dhamankar Naka. They will be blocked at Kesharbagh Naka, near the Deepak Fabric Shop. The alternative route suggested is Vanjarpatti Naka.

NOTE: These traffic restrictions will be effective from 2 PM till midnight on April 14. Locals and commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly to avoid any kind of inconvenience.
