CBSE Board Result 2025: As the tensions between India and Pakistan eased following the ceasefire agreement between the two countries, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday declared the Class 12th results 2025. The overall pass percentage for class 12 this year is 88.39%, up from last year, according to a board release. More than 40 lakh students in the country were eagerly awaiting the CBSE Board results.
Post ‘Operation Sindoor’, tensions rose further, leading to school closures in several areas. Students were even concerned whether the India-Pakistan conflict could impact their CBSE Board Result 2025. While CBSE has not issued any official statement yet, students are advised not to fall for rumours or fake news regarding the results.
Now that the CBSE has declared the Board Result 2025, students can visit the official websites – cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in – to download and check their Class 12 results. The provisional mark sheets are also available on the DigiLocker app. The results are available on the following platforms, roll number-wise: cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, digilocker.gov.in, umang.gov.in.
More than 42 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board exams, which began on February 15, 2025, for Class 10 and 12 this year. While the Class 10 examinations ended on March 18, Class 12 exams concluded on April 4.

88.39% of students have passed the CBSE board Class 12 exams.
The passing percentage has increased by 0.41% since last year. Last year’s pass rate was 87.98%.
Trivandram, Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi West are other top performing regions.
Vijayawada has emerged as the top-performing region in CBSE Class 12 exams 2025 with a pass percentage of 99.60%.
16,92,794 students appeared for the Class 12 exams. Out of these, 14,96,307 have passed.
Transgender students have recorded 100% pass percentage this year.
The CBSE recently gave a key update for students. It has issues DigiLocker security PINs. Also known as ‘access codes,’ these will be required to retrieve digital copies of crucial academic documents such as school leaving certificate, migration certificate and marksheet.
After the declaration of results, CBSE provides 24/7 psychological support for a week. Toll-free helplines and online resources are available for students to approach counselors to seek help with stress or anxiety.
