Bigg Boss OTT 2 finalist Abhishek Malhan, who is currently hosting Game of Greed on Jio Hotstar, has once again addressed the long-standing debate on whether Bigg Boss is scripted. The YouTube sensation, who gained widespread recognition from Bigg Boss OTT 2, shared his thoughts in an exclusive interview with Telly Talk India/ Zoom, revealing behind-the-scenes insights.
Abhishek Malhan On Bigg Boss Being Scripted
Addressing the controversy surrounding the reality show, Abhishek stated, “I think I have said this many times, and I don’t like repeating it. Obviously, Bigg Boss is not a scripted show, but it is a very manipulative one. The makers decide who will win. We can vote all night, but if you are not their favourite, you won’t win.”
Abhishek also reacted to his viral video where he predicted that Rajat Dalal wouldn’t win Bigg Boss 18. He explained, “If a YouTuber like Rajat Dalal or Digvijay Rathee had won, then no TV actor would have participated in the show next time. So, they ensured a TV personality, Karan Veer Mehra, won. Rajat was kept in the show only as long as they wanted.”
‘Bigg Boss Is No Longer Relevant’
Expressing his views on the show’s impact, Abhishek added, “I don’t think Bigg Boss is relevant anymore. What happened has happened, and that discussion isn’t important now.”
When asked about Salman Khan stepping down as host for the upcoming season, Abhishek jokingly said, “I am going to his house to convince him. Bigg Boss won’t be the same without him.”
Abhishek’s bold statements has sparked a fresh debate and fans are now questioning the fairness of Bigg Boss and its influence on reality TV.
