Pankaj Tripathi responded to the ongoing issue between Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina. The controversy started because of comments made by the YouTuber about India’s Got Lalent. The actor shared that no one should feel proud of speaking nonsense.
Veteran actor Pankaj Tripathi has now shared his thoughts on the ongoing controversy between Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina. He spoke about the importance of understanding society’s cultural values and warned people not to take pride in saying something foolish.
In an interview with Screen, Pankaj shared his views on the situation, saying, “This is the world of the internet, and every person has an opinion. The thing with the internet is that a lot of people become popular faces all of a sudden. They find name and fame, but where is the sensibility? Do they have the required intelligence, in terms of literary knowledge, social behaviour, etc? Society is a lot of things, and one needs to know the cultural value of the society we are living in.”
While discussing the impact of the digital era, the Pankaj Tripathi stressed about the absence of censorship should not justify the nature of the content bein shown online.
Pankaj Tripathi also mentioned that just because there is no strict censorship, it doesn’t mean you can say anything in the name of entertainment. He explained, “See, it is okay to have fun saying nonsense, but it is not okay to have pride in uttering nonsense. But more importantly, it should never be purely nonsensical.” He also gave an example of satire, saying, “For some, satire might seem nonsensical, but deep down, we know there is a lot of sense to it.”
At the same event, the actor talks more about the issue and told fans not to focus too much on it. He said, “Don’t give so much importance to all this. Anyone can get viral, but just like a viral illness, it will be there for a few days, and then… we move on.”

The youtuber faced alot of critisizm over the controversial India’s Got Latent epiode, Ranveer said sorry, calling it a “lapse in judgement”. He said, “I’m just here for an apology. I personally had a lapse in judgment. It wasn’t cool on my part. The podcast is watched by people of all ages. I don’t want to be the kind of person that takes that responsibility lightly, and family is the last thing that I would ever disrespect. He stated, “I’m just here for an apology. Ranveer, along with Samay Raina, Apoorva Makhija, and others who were on the judges’ panel in the controversial episode are now facing legal action.
