A recent photo of TV actor Shivangi Verma, 31, with veteran actor Govind Namdev, 70, had set tongues wagging about a possible romantic relationship between the two. The buzz began when Shivangi shared the photo on her Instagram account with the caption, “Pyaar knows no age, no limits…”
However, the photo and caption did not sit well with many social media users, who mocked the couple for their significant age difference. Several netizens took to the comments section to express their skepticism, with some even making jokes about their relationship.
Some of the comments included “Are you two getting married?” and “Rich man never gets old in girls’ perception.” The photo sparked a heated debate about age differences in relationships and whether love truly knows no bounds.
When things went on out control, Govind Namdev reshared the picture on his Instagram handle and issued a clarification in the matter. Putting the record straight, he said that the photo was a glimpse from their upcoming film, which revolves around two people with a big age gap.
“Ye Real Life Love nahi hai, Reel Life hai janaab! Ek film hai ‘Gaurishankar Goharganj Wale’ Jiski shooting hum Indore me kar rahe hain. Ye usi film ka story plot hai. Isme ek old man ko ek young actress se pyaar ho jata hai. Jahaan tak vyaktigat rup se mujhe kisi young-old se pyaar ho jaaye, ye iss janam me to sambhav hai nahi (This is not real-life love, it’s reel! It’s for a film called ‘Gaurishankar Goharganj Wale,’ which we are shooting in Indore. This is the story plot of the film, where an old man falls in love with a young actress. Falling in love with someone young in this lifetime is simply not possible),” Govind commented.
