BigHit’s Concerns on Harassment

BigHit Music, the agency that is representing K-pop sensation BTS, has announced that they will be taking legal actions against harmful online posts and harassment targeting the group and its members. in a recent statement, BigHit reaffirmed that it has dedicated commitment to protect BTS from defamation, false information and personal attacks across all online platforms.

The agency will continue to monitor every online space and actively gather evidence against offenders. The agency stated,” “We will show no leniency toward perpetrators who engage in these harmful acts. Strict penalties will be enforced to deter such behaviour.”

The agency also stated, “Among them were individuals who continued uploading malicious posts despite being penalized in earlier complaints. One defendant, who posted hundreds of insulting and defamatory statements on their blog, has been convicted and fined a total of five million won.”

They have also urged fans and the general public to report instances of online abuse via official channels. Fans across the globe have welcomed the agency’s initiative, expressing solidarity with BTS and supporting the call for accountability on all the online platforms.
