On June 12, the member of BTS Jeon Jungkook became the victim of a frightening attempt break-in at his residence in Seoul, hours after officially completing his military service. A 30-something Chinese woman was arrested for following multiple attempts to break into the house of the singer late at night by entering the door code.
According to the report by Allkpop, the police said that the woman had travelled to South Korea specifically to meet Jungkook. Cops were alerted by an alarm system, Upon being asked, the woman allegedly told cops that she came to meet Jungkook because he had been discharged from military service. She is under investigation.
The incident happened on the same day when Jungkook and another BTS member Jimin were officially discharged from the mandatory military service in South Korea. The two idols were greeted by hundreds of fans and media members at Yeoncheon Public Stadium. An emotional moment during the reunion was when Jungkook and Jimin appeared in uniform holding bouquets and saluting the audience, which became a significant step in the reunion process of BTS.
It follows the release of RM and V on June 10 and the previous releases of Jin and J-Hope in 2024. Suga, the last member, will complete his military service on June 21.
As all the members are nearly done with their enlistment, BTS is prepared to fully restart. Thousands of fans all over the world are waiting to see new songs, live concerts, and appearances of the group. To make the situation more thrilling, the agency of the group, HYBE, put up a gleaming message “WE ARE BACK” at its headquarters in Seoul, signifying that the second chapter of BTS had begun.
Although this day brought some worry about the safety of Jungkook, it also brought hope and joy to millions of ARMYs worldwide, as the seven-member group is getting closer to their highly-anticipated reunion.
