Superstar Chiranjeevi has issued an official statement to clarify all the false rumours around his mother Anjana Devi’s health. According to some reports, she was hospitalised but the actor has dismissed these rumours. He also revealed that his mother is perfectly alright now and was earlier feeling ‘a little disposed’.
Chiranjeevi wrote on X, “My attention is drawn to some media reports claiming our mother is unwell and is hospitalised. Want to clarify that she was a little indisposed for a couple of days. She is hale and hearty and is perfectly alright now. Appeal to all media not to publish any speculative reports on her health. Appreciate your understanding.”

Appeal to all media not to publish any speculative reports…
The actor was earlier in the headlines after he received backlash over his remark on wanting a grandson. Even though that statement was supposed to be playful, it did not sit well with many people. During the event, he said, “When I’m at home, it doesn’t feel like I’m surrounded by my granddaughters; it feels like I’m a ladies’ hostel warden, surrounded by ladies all around. I keep wishing and telling (Ram) Charan, at least this time, have a boy so that our legacy continues, but his daughter is the apple of his eye…”
He added, “I’m scared that he might have a girl again.” Ram Charan and his wife Upasana welcomed a baby girl, Klin Kaara, in 2023.
On the work front, Chiranjeevi will next star in ‘Vishwambhara’, along with Trisha, Kunal Kapoor, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Ashika Ranganath in lead roles. He was last seen in Bhola Shankar along with Tamannaah Bhatia, Keerthy Suresh and Sushanth. The movie is the remake of the 2015 Tamil film Vedalam.
