Shivaji would never have ever thought of ruling in Indian Television through his artistic personality, but what were those turning points in his life that led him towards this popularity? it’s interesting to know, so let’s dive in.
For a long time, Shivaji worked as a cashier in the bank before joining acting. He was happy with his stable bank job. But life had some other plans for him. One day, a drama competition was organised at his bank, where Shivaji also participated and performed well. At that moment, Shivaji met with Bal Dhuri, the actor who plays the role of King Dasharatha in Ramayana. In appreciation of his acting, Bal Dhuri offered Shivaji’s first acting chance in a musical drama called Sangeet Varad. That’s how Shivaji initially started his journey in the Indian entertainment industry.
The real passionate acting journey begins when Shivaji left his stable job and decided to dedicate his life to his dream of becoming an actor. He first appeared on TV in 1980 in a popular show called Rishte-Naate. People liked his screen appearance and in 1988, he got his first film role in Pestonjee. Then, in the upcoming years, Shivaji was seen playing mostly a police officer in many movies. Some characters he played got immense love from his audience, like in the movie ‘Gulam-e-Mustafa’, he played a good and honest man role. His contribution to many popular films, such as Vaastav, Nayak, and Sooryavansham, made him an eminent personality.

Later in 1998, Shivaji Satam got the most famous role of his life, that is ACP Pradyuman in the TV show CID. He acted so well in this role that people of all ages loved his character, as he put his heart into playing ACP Pradyuman.
Speaking about his journey from acting as ACP Pradyuman to The Better India, he emphasised more on the dedication to blend into any character. He said, “The basic thing is that I love acting.” Further, the actor added, “I trained and educated myself watching Marathi theatre, and that’s how I can bring variations in my character. First, you have to empathise with whatever character you do.”
CID, a cop drama action TV series, has become a hot topic of discussion among its viewers as they were shocked when ACP Pradyuman died in a bomb blast. This happened at the same time actor Parth Samthaan joined the show. But Shivaji and CID’s fans wanted ACP Pradyuman back. Their love and support worked as Shivaji’s return to CID. This was confirmed when Parth shared a behind-the-scenes video and Shivaji Satam posted a secretive message online as his Instagram post.
