‘Dahaad’ Season 2 Officially In Works: Sonakshi Sinha And Gulshan Devaiah Return With A Gripping Crime Drama

After a successful first run and international recognition at Berlinale, the Sonakshi Sinha-led crime thriller ‘Dahaad’ has officially been renewed for a second season.

Following the massive success of the first season, Dahaad is officially returning for a second chapter. According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Prime Video has greenlit Dahaad 2, with the team already working on the script.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, production company Tiger Baby Films is already developing the follow up season, “Dahaad 2 is on, and the team is working on the script. Prime Video is aiming to mount the show on a big scale, as the first season did extremely well, garnering immense praise. The work is underway, and the team will figure out a shooting timeline soon.”

Confirming the buzz, lead actors Sonakshi Sinha and Gulshan Devaiah shared the news on their Instagram stories. Sonakshi wrote, “Finally!!! Can’t wait to get back in that uniform,” tagging creators Reema Kagti, Zoya Akhtar, and Prime Video.

Gulshan also shared the post and added, “Now… where did I keep that uniform?”

About Dahaad

Dahaad is a police procedural crime thriller television series created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, directed by Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, and starring Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Devaiah, Vijay Varma and Sohum Shah. It is inspired by Mohan Kumar, also known as Cyanide Mohan, a serial killer who preyed on women looking to get married.

Dahaad is the first ever Indian streaming series to premiere at Berlin International film festival, where it competed for Berlinale Series Award. It was released on Amazon Prime Video on 12 May 2023.
