Diljit Dosanjh earlier found himself at the centre of several controversies after facing backlash over the casting of Pakistani star Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3. This backlash came amid the tensions between India and Pakistan post the Pahalgam terror attack. The controversy also caused rumours of Diljit’s exit from ‘Border 2’ and ‘No Entry 2’. However, Diljit has dismissed these rumours by posting a fun video on Instagram.
In the video, Diljit is seen hanging out with the cast of ‘Border 2’, Varun Dhawan and debutant Ahan Shetty. He is also seen discussing with ‘No Entry 2’ director Aneez Bazmee and producer Boney Kapoor.
Controversy Around No Entry 2:
It was earlier reported that Diljit has been removed from ‘No Entry 2’ due to creative differences. A source told Filmfare, “Diljit was very excited to collaborate with Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor. But over the last few weeks, he couldn’t align with the film’s creative ideas. That’s why he decided to leave the project due to creative differences.”
Other reports claimed that Diljit walked out of ‘No Entry 2’ due to date issues. Producer Boney Kapoor told Hindustan Times, “Yes, there are date issues, but certainly no creative differences. That is absolutely false. We are trying our best to work the dates out.”
More details about ‘No Entry 2’ are yet to be disclosed. But it is confirmed that the movie will also star Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor. It will serve as the sequel to the hit 2005 film ‘No Entry’, starring Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, Celina Jaitly.
Backlash Over Border 2:
Earlier, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) expressed its disappointment upon Diljit’s casting in Border 2 after he worked with Hania Aamir. The members even wrote a letter to the makers of ‘Border 2’ to remove the actor from the film.
‘Border 2’ also stars Varun Dhawan, Sunny Deol and Ahan Shetty in the lead roles.
