Panchayat, one of the most beloved shows in India, is back with the fourth season. The show has always received a lot of love from the audience ever since its premiere and the new season has managed to meet fans’ expectations as well. Amid the show’s growing popularity, Sanvikaa, known for playing Rinky, has also become a fan favourite. In an interview with News24, Sanvikaa talks about Panchayat Season 4, how she bagged the role of Rinky, the show’s fan following and more.
For the unversed, Sanvikaa’s character was introduced towards the end of the first season and she was only seen for a few seconds. Talking about auditioning for Panchayat, she reveals, “When I gave the audition, I knew that this scene would be in the end. At that time, I was in two minds because I thought I might not be in the final cut. You never know the edit table as anything can happen in that. There were other things that I’m getting introduced in the last so that’s the hook. There is a possibility that my character may grow in the next season.”
As ‘Panchayat’ became immensely popular across the country, Sanvikaa also rose to fame. She is now lovingly recognised by her fans as Rinky. Sharing how her life has changed after starring in ‘Panchayat’, she adds, “Life has changed for the better, definitely. When come to me and show their love and appreciation, and, like, some random fans will come and they will compliment you and emotion So these things, I feel that I’m very lucky to get the love of people.”
“More than me, I think my parents’ lives also changed for the better. My parents always wanted to go ahead in life. When people or their friends congratulate them, they feel really proud,” she adds.
Sanvikaa also recalls some fun moments from the sets of ‘Panchayat’. She says, “It was too much fun. With different seasons, you develop a bond with other actors and it feels like home. It feels like family when you are there on set.”
She further adds, “Some of the most memorable was when fans used to come when we were shooting for the show. People would come afar or they would have taken leave from their office to see us. Those were the beautiful moments for us. Even if they couldn’t meet us, they would wait for three-four days regularly.”
