Ibrahim Breaks Silence On Sending Threat To Pakistani Critic After Nadaaniyan Fallout, Says ‘I Shouldn’t Have Reacted’

The controversy came to limelight when the critic published a Biting review of Nadaaniyan on and later shared a screenshot of an message allegedly sent by Ibrahim on Instagram.

Ibrahim Ali Khan, who recently stepped into Bollywood with his debut film Nadaaniyan, has admitted to sending a threatening message to Pakistani film journalist Tamur Iqbal after receiving a harsh review. The young actor opened up about the incident in a recent interview, saying he let his emotions get the better of him after a personal comment crossed the line.

In a candid interview with Filmfare, Ibrahim Ali Khan addressed his controversial statement made to Pakistani film critic Tamur Iqbal. He said “I know I shouldn’t have reacted but I’m also new to public scrutiny. When he made that personal comment about my body, it felt like a below-the-belt remark. But going forward, I’ll be more composed. I shouldn’t have reacted. It won’t happen again.”

The controversy came to limelight when Tamur Iqbal published a Biting review of Nadaaniyan and later shared a screenshot of an message allegedly sent by Ibrahim on Instagram. The message included insults and threats, accused Tamur of making offensive comments and warned him to stay out of line.

“Tamur almost like Taimoor… you got my brother’s name. Guess what you don’t got? His face. You ugly piece of trash. Since you can’t keep your words to yourself, don’t bother, they’re irrelevant just like you. Ugly goddamn piece of shit I feel bad for you and your family – and if I see you on the streets one day, I’ll make sure I leave you uglier than you are – you walking piece of scum,” Ibrahim’s message read, as per the screenshot.

To this, Tamur also replied, “Hahahahaha see that’s my man. This is the guy I want to see in the movie. Not that fake cornetto mushy cringy human. But hey yes that nose job comment was in bad taste. Rest I totally own up. Massive fan of your dad, don’t let him down.”

Ibrahim Ali Khan made his acting debut in ‘Nadaaniyan’ opposite Khushi Kapoor drew mixed reactions from the audience.
