The paparazzi culture in Bollywood has become prominent over the years. However, many celebrities have expressed their disapproval of paparazzi invading someone’s personal space. Kajol, in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, criticised paparazzi for filming someone at a funeral.
Expressing her disapproval of the paparazzi’s behaviour, Kajol told Bollywood Hungama, “I am a little conscious with the paps. I do feel that there are certain places where they shouldn’t be at least be. I find it very strange when they run after you, you know, at a funeral, or when you are attending a death ceremony of someone, meaning you went to someone’s funeral, and someone is behind you saying ‘photograph, photograph.”
“I find that odd. I find that a little disrespectful. I find it strange actually. You can’t even go for lunch, or they are following you for kilometres. Like, get into my car, and you know, from Juhu, they followed me all the way from Juhu to Bandra, halfway to town, you know, to see where I am getting off and which building I am going into,” she added.

She further said that she would have called cops if she was a normal person. Kajol further said, “I find that disturbing because if I was a normal person, would you do that? You wouldn’t. I would have just taken you to the cops and said, ‘You know, this gentleman on the scooter is following me.’”
On the work front, Kajol will next star in the movie ‘Maa’ and will be seen in a fierce role. ‘Maa’ also stars Indraneil Sengupta, Jitin Gulati, and Kherin Sharma in the pivotal roles. The movie is directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Subbarayan and Kumar Mangat Pathak, and presented by Jio Studios in association with Devgn Films. It is set to release in theatres on 27 June 2025.
