The dispute centers around the film titled. Johar asserts that the use of his name in the title is unauthorized and violates his intellectual property rights. Initially registered as “Bollywood Wale Karan Johar” with the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA), Johar claims he has no association with the project and has not granted permission for the use of his name.

Johar’s legal action demonstrates his commitment to protecting his intellectual property and controlling the use of his name and brand.
