L2 Empuraan Box Office Collection Day 2: Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran are back together with the much anticipated sequel of their hit 2019 Malayalam film ‘Lucifer’. Titled ‘L2: Empuraan’, the movie has been creating a massive hype ever since its announcement and has also received a good response from the audience. L2 Empuraan Box Office Collection Day 2:
According to the website Sacnilk, L2: Empuraan collected Rs 11.75 crore on day 2 and this is nearly 50 per cent decline from its opening day earnings. The movie earned the most in Malayalam, collecting Rs 10.75 crore and the remaining Rs 1 crore in other languages. ‘L2: Empuraan’ earned Rs 21.5 crore on its opening day. The movie is expected to have a good collection due to the weekend and Eid 2025 holiday.
Apart from Mohanlal and Prithviraj, the movie also stars Abhimanyu Singh, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Jerome Flynn, Indrajith Sukumaran, Eriq Ebouaney, and Suraj Venjaramoodu.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran also served as the director of the film. Earlier, he talked about the box office clash of his movie with Salman Khan and AR Murugadoss’ Sikandar. Calling Salman ‘one of the biggest stars of the country’, Prithviraj said that he is rooting for both the films and said there is no competition between them. During the press conference, he shared, “Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars in the country, and there is no competition between the two movies. I hope it becomes a blockbuster. I will have no complaints if you watch L2: Empuraan at 11 a.m. and Sikandar at 1 p.m.”
According to reports, the ‘Lucifer’ franchise was supposed to be a trilogy and a third part is in development. Towards the end of ‘L2: Empuraan’, its sequel reportedly ‘L3: The Beginning’ was announced. The makers are yet to officially announce the next part in the trilogy.
