Widely remembered and recognized as the iconic ‘Kanta Laga’ Girl, Shefali Jariwala, passed away late Friday night after suffering a cardiac arrest in Mumbai. Her sudden demise at the age of 42 has left the entire Bollywood shocked, with many celebs and fans expressing grief on social media.
Singer Mika Singh was one of the earliest to react to the news of her untimely death. He took to Instagram and wrote, “I’m deeply shocked, saddened, and feeling a heavy heart. Our beloved dear friend @shefalijariwala has left us.”

Shefali’s friends in the entertainment industry, including Paras Chhabra, Aly Goni, and Karishma Tanna, are absolutely heartbroken at her demise. They have expressed their grief and paid heartfelt tributes to her through their respective social media handles. Paras shared a photo of them on his IG story and wrote, “Kiski zindagi kitni likhi hai koi nahi janta…Om Shanti.”

Meanwhile, Indian actor-model Aly Goni wrote, “RIP Shefali.”

Widely popular as the iconic “Kaanta Laga Girl,” Shefali reportedly died after suffering a cardiac arrest late at night on June 27. She was rushed to the Bellevue Multispeciality hospital by her husband, Parag Tyagi, and three others.
As of now, there is no formal statement issued by her family or relatives. The news of her death was confirmed by the reception staff of the hospital, “Shefali had expired before she was brought in. Her husband and a few others accompanied the body.”
