On June 6, singer Mika Singh condemned the incident involving actor-politician Kangana Ranaut at the Chandigarh airport, expressing his disappointment with a lengthy note on Instagram.
Mika Singh wrote, ‘As a Punjabi/Sikh community, we have earned respect worldwide through our sewa and as saviours. It’s disheartening to hear about the airport episode involving Kangana Ranaut. The CISF constable was on duty at the airport, and ensuring the safety of people around was her responsibility.’

Mika continued, ‘It’s sad that she deemed it acceptable to assault a passenger at the airport due to her personal anger about another situation. She should have expressed her anger outside the airport in civilian attire. But this is not the appropriate way to vent emotions. Her actions will now impact other Punjabi women, potentially leading to their suspension from jobs due to the mistake of one individual.’
Earlier in the day, TV actor Devoleena Bhattacharjee also expressed her disapproval of the act. She shared multiple notes on X, calling it a ‘security threat,’ the ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ actor said.
Meanwhile, Kangana also defended herself and slammed Bollywood in a now-deleted Instagram post. She called out the industry for remaining silent on the matter.

For those unaware, Kangana Ranaut claimed that she was heading to the boarding point at Chandigarh airport after the security check when CISF officer Kulwinder Kaur allegedly argued with her and slapped her at the frisking area.
Sources suggest that Kangana’s controversial remarks about women in Punjab during the farmers’ agitation may have provoked the alleged slap.
