Nawazuddin Siddiqui On Bollywood
Nawazuddin also had words over the concern on Bollywood’s current trend of prioritising the actor’s image and followers over their real talent. He said, “South actors are part of films making Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,000 crore. Here, the ones chosen to lead Rs. 100-200 crore films don’t match up to their talent.”
Comparing Bollywood to the South industry, “They (Bollywood) are decorated like peacocks with songs, choreography and action, yet there’s no guarantee of a hit. If big stars can’t assure success, then why not make films with actual actors? However, their (South industry) beauty lies in the fact that the ones leading Rs. 500 crore films are also real actors.”-
