Netizens Slam Squid Game Season 3 For ‘Unrealistic’ Birth Scene: ‘It Was So Strange…’

Squid Game, which is regarded as one of the most popular and iconic shows on Netflix, has ended with its third season. The show has left the audience heartbroken with the deaths of many characters but has also given hopes for its spin-off wit h its open ending. 

While the new installment has been praised for its emotional depth and shocking twists, a scene from episode 2 has become the center of criticism on social media.

In an unexpected twist, Kim Jun Hee aka Player 222 suddenly goes into labor during the game and gives birth to a healthy baby in just five minutes. All this happens without any major pain, medical support or any kind of complication. With the help of fellow contestant Geum Ja (Kang Ae Shim), the delivery is completed.

The scene shows no mention of amniotic fluid, no delivery of the placenta, no exhaustion of the mother and the newborn appears to be perfectly healthy. This is why the scene has been receiving a lot of criticism.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), many fans of the show have expressed their astonishment at the scene.

even outside of the other baby plot issues it was so strange to me how junhees water broke out of nowhere with no buildup to it and she literally WALKED OFF childbirth ??? like her broken ankle impacted her more than giving birth with no real medical care bow does that work

"Squid game 3 was realistic"

Gihun made it to the final games twice. Junhee gave birth in less than 15 minutes, no bleeding, nothing, but her broken ankle was treated as more painful than childbirth. The baby didn't have diapers and was fed twice but still survived.
