Tamannaah Bhatia and Hebah Patel’s Telugu horror thriller Odela 2 released in theatres on April 17, 2025, with the intention of enthralling viewers with its suspenseful storyline and strong performances but the movie failed to impress both critics and its audience. In the 20 days since its release, Odela 2 managed to earn a net collection of only Rs. 5.71 crore. As per trade reports, the film may have been able to recover only 22 percent of its total budget. The poor box office performance prompted the producers to decide on an OTT pre-release providing the film with a second opportunity to resonate with people.
