Priyanka Chopra Pays Tribute To Late Uncle Raman Rai Handa, Father Of Mannara Chopra: ‘You’ll Always Be In Our Hearts’

Priyanka Chopra mourned the passing of her uncle Raman Rai Handa, who died in Mumbai at the age of 72.

Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram on Tuesday to pay tribute to her paternal uncle, Raman Rai Handa, who passed away on June 16 at the age of 72. In a heartfelt Instagram Story, Priyanka wrote:

“You’ll always be in our hearts. Rest easy Raman uncle (fufaji). Om Shanti.”

She tagged her cousin, actor Mannara Chopra, and aunt Kamini Chopra, extending condolences to the grieving family.

Raman Rai Handa, a senior advocate at the Delhi High Court and was married to Priyanka’s aunt (her father’s sister). He had reportedly been unwell for a few days and breathed his last in Mumbai.

The news of his demise was first shared by his daughter, Mannara Chopra, on her Instagram Stories. In an official statement, the family wrote, “With profound grief and sorrow we inform the sad demise of our loving father who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025. He was the pillar of strength for our family.”

The last rites of Raman Handa will be performed on Wednesday at 1 PM at the Crematorium Ground in Amboli, Andheri West, Mumbai.
