Gold House was founded by former YouTube executive Bing Chen in 2018 to nourish and elevate the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) community. It is an annual award for the 100 Asian Pacific leaders who have most impacted culture and society by welcoming many Asian celebrities throughout the years. This year, it will be no different as famous actress Priyanka Chopra will be the highlight of the fourth annual Gold House Gala. Along with her, Jon M Chu, Megan Thee Stallion and Ang Lee will also join the list of honourees as per Variety.
The Gold Gala is set to happen on May 10, 2025, at the Music Centre in Downtown Los Angeles. Over 600 guests are looking forward to celebrating the 100 most impactful Asian Pacific change-makers in culture. the 2025 A100 List will be announced on 1st of May.
In his statement, Gold House CEO and co-founder Bing Chen remarked, “The Gold Gala is more than just the biggest Asian Pacific event — it’s a platform for launching the next wave of culture. From honouring Michelle Yeoh for EEAAO before her history-making Oscars run to celebrating Cynthia Erivo with Michelle and Jon M Chu before Wicked became a public phenomenon.”
Talking about the theme of the gala, First Light, Chen said, “We’re honouring those we have been the first, not just for themselves, but for everyone who’s lit after.”
Priyanka Chopra will be receiving the inaugural Global Vanguard Honour, acknowledging her influential 25-year career, connecting Asian Pacific and Western cultures through her renowned work across Hindi cinema and Hollywood, alongside her efforts to elevate underrepresented voices. Chopra was the winner of the Miss World 2000 pageant. Some of her notable works are: Barfi! (2012), Mary Kom (2014) and Quantico. She has received the Padma Shri award from the Government of India and according to Forbes, she is among the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.
